IFRS IS OFFICIALLY REGULATED IN VIETNAM

In the draft Law amending the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Accounting, which was recently passed by the National Assembly in the afternoon session of November 29, it is stipulated that:

"The Ministry of Finance shall prescribe accounting standards and professional ethics standards for accountants in Vietnam on the basis of international accounting standards in accordance with the specific conditions of Vietnam; provide guidance on the subjects, scope, procedures, roadmap and other contents related to the application of international accounting standards."

This is the highest legal basis, affirming and recognizing the legality of applying IFRS in Vietnam.
