Temporary Suspension of Certain Electronic Tax Systems from June 27, 2025 – Serving the Upgrade of the New Two-Tier Management Model

In order to meet the requirements for restructuring the tax authority under the two-tier local government model and implementing new regulations on e-invoicing, digital identification, and tax administrative procedures, the Tax Department will carry out a comprehensive upgrade of its information technology systems.

This upgrade will cause some electronic tax systems to temporarily suspend operations for a short period to facilitate data conversion and system restructuring according to the new management model.

Operational Status of the Tax Department’s IT Systems During the Upgrade:

  1. Systems Operating Normally:

    • Electronic Information Portal for Foreign Suppliers

  2. Suspension from 6:00 PM on June 27, 2025 to 8:00 AM on July 1, 2025:

    • Tax Department’s Website (Electronic Information Portal)

    • Tax Procedure Service Management System (THI)

    • E-Commerce Information Portal

    • Electronic Information Portal for E-Commerce Business Households and Individuals on Digital Platforms

    • Electronic Tax Application (eTax)

    • eTax Application for Individuals (iCanhan)

    • eTax Mobile Application (for mobile devices)

    • External Data Exchange Gateway Systems (DataHub, GIP, T2B)

  3. Suspension from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM on July 1, 2025:

    • E-Invoice Application for Taxpayers

  4. Only Allowing Data Lookup (for data transfer purposes):

    • Internal Management System of the Tax Sector

Important Notes for Taxpayers During the Downtime:

  • Proactively complete tax payments, declarations, invoice issuance, and information lookups before June 27, 2025, especially for transactions requiring immediate confirmation.

  • In case of urgent procedures, taxpayers may contact the Tax Department’s one-stop service unit directly for assistance.

  • Documents will still be accepted via postal mail and in-person at service counters during the system upgrade period.

  • Processing times may be slower than usual. We kindly ask for taxpayers’ understanding and cooperation.

The Tax Department kindly informs organizations, businesses, and individuals to take note and proactively complete tax procedures during the system downtime. This upgrade is an important step to ensure that the tax system operates effectively, efficiently, and in line with management requirements in the new era.
