To urgently complete the mechanisms and policies to increase working hours/month in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring no more than 300 hours/year. This is the content of Resolution 155/NQ-CP in the Regular Government Meeting in November 2021.
Accordingly, in order to continue elevating the results of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, maintaining economic recovery, striving to achieve the highest level of goals set in 2021, the Government requested the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs to strictly perform a number of key tasks as follows:
- To urgently complete the mechanisms and policies to adjust to an increase in the working time/month in response to the COVID-19 pandemic but not exceeding 300 hours/year.
Currently, according to point b, clause 2, Article 107 of the Labor Code 2019, one of the conditions for using employees to work overtime is to ensure that the employee's overtime does not exceed 40 hours in 01 month.
- To assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with agencies and localities in reviewing the overall social security policies being implemented.
- To timely update and adjust in accordance with the actual situation, to propose additional necessary new measures.

Resolution 155/NQ-CP was issued on December 8, 2021.
