SHARING LOVE – A MEANINGFUL JOURNEY TO LAP VO, DONG THAP | 27.05.2025

Every year on May 27, as part of a long-standing tradition, Viet Australia Auditing Company organizes charitable activities under the theme “Sharing Love,” bringing care and support to those in need across various areas. This year, our destination was Lap Vo District, Dong Thap Province.

With the desire to spread kindness and compassion, the team delivered 200 meaningful gift sets to people in difficult circumstances across four localities: Binh Thanh Commune, Lap Vo Town, Vinh Thanh Commune, and Binh Thanh Trung Commune.

In his speech before the gift-giving began, Mr. Pham Quoc Hai, Chairman and General Director of Viet Australia Auditing Company, shared: "We firmly believe that the sustainable development of a business cannot be separated from its responsibility to the community. These gifts may be small, but they carry our heartfelt message – that society still has many compassionate people who are here to walk alongside, to support, and to bring hope and encouragement for a better life."

In response, Ms. Truong Thi Diep – Standing Member of the District Party Committee/ Representative of the People's Committee of Lap Vo District, expressed her appreciation: "The care and attention from enterprises and organizations bring more joy to the local people. We truly thank the Viet Australia Auditing team for coming to our beloved Mekong Delta, helping create meaningful memories together.”

Beyond gift-giving, the program also brought warmth through a communal meal, where locals were invited to enjoy crispy, freshly made banh xeo – a beloved Vietnamese dish from the South. The delicious banh xeo were lovingly prepared on-site by the Tuy Duyen charity group, turning the event into a heartfelt gathering.

As the event was coming to a close, while volunteers were packing up, an elderly woman gently approached and spoke with a soft Southern accent: “The banh xeo you made is so delicious. May I take one home to offer to my ancestors? I’ll wait for my children to come home from work, so the whole family can sit and enjoy it together – it warms the heart and the house.”

In that moment, under the blazing noonday sun of the Mekong Delta, her words touched everyone present. The heat seemed to melt away, replaced by laughter, warmth, and the simple happiness of human connection.

As the journey came to an end, it left behind many unforgettable emotions – smiles, grateful eyes, and a strong sense of togetherness. These heartfelt moments are the motivation for Viet Australia to continue our mission of giving back to the community in future events.
