On September 24, the Government issued Resolution No. 116/NQ-CP on policies to support employees and employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic from the Unemployment Insurance Fund.
Cash support for employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic from the unemployment insurance fund's balance, beneficiaries are:
- Employees participating in unemployment insurance as of September 30, 2021 ( excluding employees who are working in state agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, people's armed forces units, and public non-business units whose regular expenditures are guaranteed by the state budget. often).
- Employees stopped participating in unemployment insurance due to the termination of their labor contract between January 1, 2020, and the end of 30 September 2021 whose times paid for unemployment insurance premiums are retained in accordance with the provisions of the Law on employment, excluding persons receiving monthly pensions.
The support is based on the times paid for unemployment insurance premiums which are not yet enjoyed, from 1.8 million VND/person to 3.3 million VND/person.
The period of support is from October 1, 2021, and to be completed by December 31, 2021, at the latest.
Reducing the contribution to the Unemployment Insurance Fund for employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
It is applicable to employers specified in Article 43 of the Employment Law who is participating in unemployment insurance before October 1, 2021.
The employer is entitled to reduce the contribution rate from 1% to 0% of the monthly salary fund of employees participating in unemployment insurance.
The applicable period is 12 months, from 01 October 2021 to the end of 30 September 2022.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall submit to the Prime Minister for promulgation a Decision on implementation.
